Is there a better value?

Thread Starter
So I'm looking at this http://www.amazon.com/HIS-Mini-DiplayPort-Express-Graphics-H787Q2G2M/dp/B007HYIRES/ref=sr_1_14?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1376447130&sr=1-14&keywords=7950. Budget is pretty much maxed just looking to see if someone can give a better value. (Meaning better performance) budget is pretty much maxed.

I just upgraded my cpu from a Phenom II 820 to an FX8320 and run 8Gigs of ram at stock 1600mhz. so as far as I'm concerned the last upgrade I need is to get rid of my GTX460 se v2 to make it respectable again.
I'm preparing for Battle Field 4

I've been searching for a new video card as well around the same price range and it seems like the 7870s are pretty good. I think the card you're looking at is fine; though, I would consider this instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127722

Why? It currently has a $10 rebate (not much but...) and comes with a silver reward 2 free game offer. The Amazon card may very well come with the same game offer, but I couldn't find it posted anywhere. They both look to have decent cooling setups.

Too bad the 7870 Tahita LE versions are hard to find now.

I was eyeing that card as well; however, I noticed the reviews for its cooling are a little concerning.

HD 7950 is the card to get. the sapphire HD 7950 for USD 240 (220 after mail in rebate) .dual x cooler is good. average overclocks are 1100 - 1150 mhz which puts you on par with HD 7970 Ghz. thumb.gif
