This thread pretty much wraps up the differences

For 120Hz monitors, these animations automatically turns into a 60fps vs 120fps comparision.

Thanks for that.

Much better than the silly bouncing purple square I've been using to try to illustrate the point to people, or even worse, the youtube videos they look up to try to use as proof (since, you know, youtube reencodes everything to 30fps regardless of what you uploaded it at).

Much love.

I honestly hate dealing with these types of people...it's almost as annoying as some console players who say their console is on par or better than PC.

I have read to many articles to actually bring one to you in a direct link, but what I can provide for you is a synopsis. Basically when you compare a 60hz monitor to a 120hz monitor what you are actually doing is compairing how fast the digital frames shift. I can remember as if it were yesterday when the new 120hz televisions started coming out and people started buying them, but when you would go over to see this new tech, the picture just seemed to look "fake" or strange when watching the tv. The reason for this is the motion of the picture. The 120hz tv was smooth as butter and it just seemed to look weird because nobody was used to seeing a picture that way. Same applies for monitors, when you go 120hz the game is so damn fluid and smooth it looks fantastic! I went from 60hz gaming on a monitor to the 120hz monitor and me and my brother were going nuts on how smooth the gameplay was. If people say they see no difference I just simply feel pitty, not everyone has acute senses. Consider it a gift thumb.gif

PS: Some people lie to themselves and hate on those that can afford nicer things!
