My biggest problem I have with all of this is the very reason why they say they do it. To prevent attacks like what happened in Boston. I could be very wrong on this and I don't want to break the rules on OCN. But to me, and this is only my opinion. I believe they are wasting both time and money that could have been spent on actually preventing the attacks on Boston by attempting to raise the overall morale of the country. It is my opinion that all of these secrets are hurting it and could be leading to an increase of attacks instead of decreasing it. If they are looking for trends in every case we may all be suspects of the next attempt based off some sort of algorithm.
Getting back on topic: Isn't that a weird patent to grant? Wouldn't it make it harder for the govern other organizations beyond apple if apple is the only one allowed to do this stuff?
The funny thing is that the Boston Bombing occurred despite PRISM. But we're supposed to support PRISM so things like the Boston Bombing won't happen again.
It gets even worse when you realize that they were behind the bombing all along.
Then they fabricate a bunch of terrorist plots and make all sorts of outlandish claims that have no evidence behind them to further support it. It's really pathetic.
