[Solved] A Fake EC1 eVo?

Thread Starter
Just curious here, I just bought a mildly used (the guy took real good care of it) Zowie EC1 eVo mouse. I looked on the bottom of the mouse, and the mouse didn't have a serial number (there's just a blank white box there), and the barcode looks as if it faded away (with use). There's no developed by HeatoN on the bottom of the mouse as well. But it was still made in China! What's the deal? I know I'm probably being paranoid, but I'm just wondering if this could be some sort of fake. I have not tried it out yet, I just finished dusting it. Any help would be appreciated.

An update. Sorry for the mirrored image, it was literally the best I could do without a real camera (I had to use a webcam). But, see how the bar code is just about gone? The blank white box at the serial number spot? The FCC and ce have replaced the developer spot.

It actually looks just like this one which was used in a review. Only thing is, mine doesn't seem to have a serial number:

Could this just be a really early model or something?

Try emailing Zowie support. I really have no clue.

No worries, It's a real model. For some reason, Zowie decided to ditch putting HeatoN's logo on the mouse (He's my favorite player though) on the later models (or at least, that's what it appears to be for me. It works just fine, but I prefer my G400. I wasted 46 bucks. As for the missing S/N, I really don't know what happened. Turns out that the previous owner used this thing without a mousepad... good condition my foot! Scratches everywhere on the bottom, I'll tell you (the LAST time I buy anything off ebay). Also had a smell that only baking soda could get rid of. Might as well delete this thread or something, it was a stupid thing to ask now that I think of it.
