Honestly I don't think it would matter. As long as it has "Call of Duty:......" as the first three words in the title it will sell.

Although I wish they would implement options to play on big maps with vehicles. Give the players a choice. Right now you have NO choice. If you want to play CoD you HAVE TO PLAY on small maps with low player counts WITHOUT vehicles. At least in BF3 you can play with or without vehicles and have a high player count or low player count on a big map or a small map.

Lets see what the sheep have to reply to that. biggrin.gif
I really want to see how giving players a choice would be BAD.

Because honestly if you are buying this game because of new skins or maps or weapons or whatever then just doh.gif; $60 for DLC.

If it is good that they don't change CoD and that they sell a reskinned version every year then what motivates people to spend $60 a year? How will you get a better experience with the "new" version instead of just sticking with the "old" version? Just because your weapon now can have a gold skin instead of blue skin?

New maps, weapons, skins, etc are just expansions, not the definition of a new game. They are DLC. Yet Activition is trying to pass them off as a new game when they aren't. That is the problem I have. CoDs DLC has DLC.

If you take the time to actually look at the facts it's not as bad as people like you make it out to be.

You pay $15 per DLC with FOUR maps on it.

You pay $60 once per year for a new game with FIFTEEN maps on it (taken from Black ops 2 launch maps excluding Nuketown.) Only this time you get a lot more than just new maps.

Bottom line is they're doing fine by tweaking small things and not trying to change the game completely or reinvent the genre. I'll be happy until they screw up something by trying to fix what isn't broken. Not every title has to be groundbreaking in terms of gameplay or graphics. Some are allowed to be just fun to play with friends. It just so happens that this one has a ton of money to go behind it and market like hell, but we can't really blame the company for that now can we?

I'm perfectly happy with my purchase and haven't regretted buying a COD game besides MW3 (just wasn't a fan, went back to Black ops.)

I agree with you on the fact that there are a lot of people that will buy it just for the simple fact that it is a Call of Duty.

As far as the options for big maps with vehicles, choice is always a good thing. However, I think the Battlefield series fills that role pretty well. I play both and like both equally. If I want a quick mindless shooter to pass the time, I play CoD. If I want something more involved then I go play Battlefield 3. I think a lot of people actually like CoD for the fact that it Doesn't include big maps and vehicles.

The graphics looks abit polished, maybe thats cause im viewing it at 1080p settings whilst its minimized on OCN. But the gameplay looks boring man, this is literally nothing new or interesting.

None of the features mentioned made me think, wow that sounds fun I look forward to that.

And im sorry, but when new Xbone games could cost up to £55, this game isnt on my to buy list!

Also quick snapshot of Cod Dog gameplay:

The players have a choice... when I feel like playing like that I play BF3. COD isn't that type of game and they're not trying to be.

As for them throwing Call of Duty on the front and it just being a hit I think you're vastly underestimating people's ability to pick out a fun game. Just because people don't agree with you on videogames doesn't mean they are going to sit there and play a game they don't think is fun.

Like I said before, I enjoy a lot of games. Just because one of them got extremely popular doesn't mean I should start hating on it or liking it any less. I'll continue to be a fan of FPS and play BF3, COD, Planetside and CS until I feel like they're no longer fun. Frankly, I don't think there is anything wrong with that

See that's the thing. BF3 offers quick mindless shooter mode as well with the close quarters expansion. BF3 can fill both roles. Obviously some people like the gameplay of cod for that so they will play cod but at least BF3 offers players an option.

As for the second bold.
People really buy CoD because it DOESN'T include content? Sicueems a bit ridlous to me. Then again people who have bought every single CoD game seem ridiculous to me as well.

It's not like adding in the option to play big maps is going to hinder playing the "traditional" cod maps.
