running crossfire 7850s and have a question about a single card that will at least beat em a little.

Ok... I would like a card that would perform at least as good as these.. My kids need cards so i dont mind splittn em and getting one of equal fps power... Ideas guys.. I dont have unlimited funds either so cheap as possible please.. even if its one your selling.. Thanks guys!

770 or 7970 are going to be the closest without breaking the bank [depending on what you define as "breaking the bank" ] - for a true performance increase you're better off going with a 780, but that might be a bit beyond your budget redface.gif

I honestly dont mind if performance is 10 percent less in games that support crossfire cause itll be way faster in games that dont. Not to mention that I love Nvidia cards.. on another note I have not had one problem with ATI in crossfire with drivers ever!

clock for clock HD 7950 is going to be 45 - 50% faster than HD 7850. average overclocks on HD 7950 are 1100 - 1150 mhz. HD 7970 is 5 - 6% faster than HD 7950. there are amazing deals for as low as USD 240 on HD 7950 and USD 310 on HD 7970.

both these cards are going to be more consistent and provide smoother gameplay than HD 7850 CF.
