Corsair H50 for i7 3770k - Page 2

My favorite air cooler is the CoolerMaster 212 EVO. It will easily cool a 3770k at 4.0ghz.

H50 should be doable for 4.0GHz

Don't get the H50 or H60 unless you plan to stay at stock. They won't be able to handle any *significant* overclocking. I know this first hand.

The NH-U14 sounds good from what I've heard. Or the cooler master Hyper 212 if you're on a budget.

My CM Seidon 120 actually cooled my 4770k 4.2ghz no problem in my FT03 Mini. You can get one at newegg.com for 25 bucks right now.

Yeah, I was surprised too. On my 3770k/4.5ghz, I used the Zalman 320 with push/pull fans, it has a much thicker rad on it.

I was going to go with the noctua NH-U14S or the noctua NH-D14, though the D14 looks pretty big. Any thoughts on the Corsair H60?

Personally I like the concept of a closed loop cpu cooler, are they really that bad for overclocking?
The h50 is. H100i and any 240mm cooler are OK, and compete with high end air cooling.

I have a h220 which comes prefilled but you can expand it. Luckily you're in canada where they can still sell it for the time being.

^^^
The only CLCs that are worth the money are the 240/+mm variants.

Air coolers....are superior admittedly, but I LOVE the look of AIOs. I can't afford a custom loop :'(

P.S. totally jealous you guys can still get the H220!
