Overvolting my 680 with nvflash

Long story short, i was reading the thread about flashing the 770 BIOS to a 680, and thought id give it a try to see if i could squeeze a little better core overclock since it would allow for a higher voltage.

So, on stock BIOS i was able to get:
1218mhz @ 1.175v -- ~65C ----Power % shows 90-96% under full load.

After flashing the 770 BIOS, i was showing 1.215v under load, but wasent able to budge any higher than the 1218mhz i get with 1.175v. Power % goes up to 103-106%.

Its odd. With the stock BIOS, if i go over 1218mhz, i get tearing, crashing, and downclocking.

With the 770 BIOS, if i go over 1218mhz, it doesnt crash, the GPU usage just jumps between 50%->100%->50%>100%. Temps never go above 65C. This happens at any clock between 1225mhz-1300mhz, then i start to crash.

So. What am i doing wrong? It seems odd that the extra voltage did buy me any OC headroom?

Try some other bios'es and see if it works better. I've had some that works terribly, and others that work well on my 670. It's a bit of trial and error.

Im not sure I get what you're saying? In one paragraph you say that you're stuck at 1218 with the 770 Bios but the next you say that you can get between 1225-1300 with it.
