You will only be screwed over if the make they stats from the paragon levels account wide- it would make the most sense if each char got to spend those paragon points individually, so you're not stuck with str on your monk, etc.
They are account wide yes, and the XP is added together to continue an endless ladder of paragon levels, which is exactly why you WILL lose A LOT if you have a couple paragon lvl 100s. Because from the sound of it, you will no longer be granted 3 main stat, 2 vit, 1 of each off stat, 3% MF, and 3% GF per level. You will be granted a paragon point instead. That paragon point then can be used for core stats (str, vit, dex, intl), defense (armor, resistance, etc), offense, (CC, CD, IAS, etc) or adventure stats (MF,GF, etc...) This is what I got from reading all of the known info out there. Of course, the info is vague, so there is no telling exactly how it will work... But my point is that if I have two paragon 100 characters... thats 200 paragon points worth of MF/GF, 200 paragon points worth of main stats, 200 paragon points worth of vitality, etc... now when it all gets added together and from all your paragon 100s and other levels you are sitting at paragon 120 for your entire account, thats 120 paragon points... not the 400+ that your stats were previously worth.
I hope my argument/question makes sense now.
