compare files

are their any programs that can easily show the differences in files between to hard drives?

like i make a copy of everything from my second drive to my third and sometimes the sizes don't match up even though ive copied the same exact stuff...

    I don't know if it is the best for this task, but I've been using SyncBackFree by 2BrightSparks to synchronize files between disks/folders.  If you run it in simulation mode it should show all the file differences that exist between the two folders.  Please note that it only shows the differences that it will correct based on your profile.  So if you have have files being modified in both folders, you would need to create a Synchronization style profile.  If you have an old folder and a new folder (that you ultimately want to match), you would use a Mirror style profile.
