Need some help in replacing Deathadder 3.5

Thread Starter
First thing that came to mind of replacing it is the 2013 edition, but researching for others made me hesitate.

Im looking for one of similar size and shape. I can see some similar ones such as mionix Avior 8200, Naos 8200, Zowie EC2, RAT 7 (not really similar, but at least customizable). I use the mouse in a claw/palm grip and play primarily BF3, LoL, and a few other fps. Dont really need a lot of buttons and also use the Steelseries Qck mousepad.

Any suggestions or should I just stick with the 2013 deathadder.

Stay away from the lasers and go with optical. I went with an EC1 evo. You'll want to do a lot of research, and most of it can be found right here on OCN if you want to know the hardware of the latest mice and what's the best.

Can't go wrong with the DA or Zowie. There are a handful of mice using the same sensor as the Zowie, just going to have to try them out. Different companies use different hardware, even if the sensor is the same. I came from a DA and went to an EC1 evo. I'll not go back.

I highly recommend the EC2 eVo. Great mouse.

Why don't you just get another DA 3.5? There's stil enough of them around.

Yes, they use the same sensor other than Zowie's being the open source 3090 versus Razer's proprietary 3888, but the 3090 sensor based Zowie mice have custom Kingsis lenses so that L.O.D. is less at the cost of a lower maximum tracking speed; applicable Zowie mice have a native 2,300 C.P.I. setting that is interpolated to 450 and 1,150 settings, and the DeathAdder 3.5G/B.E. have a native 1,800 C.P.I. setting that is interpolated to 900 and 450 C.P.I.
