Steelseries Sensei Raw shell on a Steelseries Sensei?

So I have a steelseries sensei and although it's a great mice, the plastic coating on top bothers me after a while. I'm planning to buy my younger brother a steelseries sensei raw because his birthday is coming up and was wondering if it's possible to switch the shells between the normal sensei and sensei raw. I know what you're thinking- I'm a messed up person for screwing around with my brother's prospective present, but my family doesn't celebrate birthdays. I'm pretty much using this as an excuse to buy a steelseries sensei raw so I can mess around with it wink.gif

I've seen people take apart the sensei in youtube and the shape is pretty much identical so it should fit fine. BUT I noticed that the shell has some removable wires hanging out of it that attaches to the pcb of the mouse itself so that might be a problem. Do you guys think this will work? A raw shell on a normal sensei would make me a very happy person. Any comments or feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everybody for helping out
