Opinion: Which system should YOU get?

Thread Starter
Just wanted to post a guide.

Wii

Why should I get a Wii?
The Wii is for people who want lots of fun, but don't have a big screen HD-TV. Also people that want a new system, but can't really afford it, should get it. Even if you can afford a better system, consider the Wii. For a lot of people the sub-par graphics are worth the fun of the Wii. I mean, you can hold a gun in COD3 and whack people with it. Doesn't that sound fun?

Xbox 360

Why should I get a Xbox 360?
The Xbox 360 is comparable to the PS3 at a much lower price. It has a major strong point: Xbox live. For no change you can download game demos trailers, and if you buy Microsoft points, rent movies and videos. To play online multiplayer, however, you need the pay $50 a year. Most gamers think it is well worth it.

PS3

Why should I get a PS3?
The PS3's srtongest point to properly Blu-ray. It is very cheap for a Blu-ray player, plus it can game! There is a catch though, if Blu-ray doesn't become popular, you might have wasted the extra money. Graphics wise, the PS3 may become better then the Xbox 360, since they are very a like right now. After learning the Cell CPU better, the graphics may become better, but doesn't except too much.

Only the last point is true. XBox 360 has a faster processor, and as of right now, the 360's graphics are better. I played a demo of NBA Live for PS3, and it was honestly downright ugly. Blu Ray isn't proven, neither is HD DVD. This will be the same kind of battle as Laser Disc vs DVD. One will win out, the other will die. They are both brand new technologies, so no one knows which is better, except that Blu Ray holds more data. But yes, I admit, PS2 had the best balance of games. However, if you're a primarily racing, FPS, or sports gamer, the 360 is still a viable option. If you're mainly RPG or Adventure games, you're probably better off with the PS3.

That's all I have to say about that...

Anyway, nice guide, and I agree with all of the points you made. I plan on buying a 360 ASAP and then getting a Wii soem day down the road, and if the PS3 gets cheaper than $300 I'll get one primarily for the games that only it has (MGS4, maybe, FFXIII, etc...)
