Hello, a few days ago i got a new g100s mouse after my old mouse decided to die. Overall its a really nice mouse but the one issue ive had is sometimes when its not being touched by anything just sitting there it will start moving a small amount. Heres a quick video of it happening.

Thanks for any help you can provide smile.gif.

what mousepad are you using

That happens when I leave my Deathadder on my couch. It's probably the mouse pad causing the problem.

I think it just wants to dance. Perhaps turn off the music.

It really shouldn't do what you have recorded on video. It should at most once in a while move a single pixel without being touched.

You should check if it's the mouse pad or whatever you are using it on. It might not like that surface. Test it on a white sheet of paper.

Also see if there's a hair or dust in front of the lens and blow once into the hole where the sensor is.

If it still does this, it's broken, it's definitely not normal. You have to send it back.

Im currently using the arm rest of the couch but it happens on other surfaces too such as my steelseries mousepad.

There is nothing that i can see in the sensor at all, no dust nothing but i blew it out with a short burst of compressed air to make sure. Still the same issue.

Turn your mouse upside down and pointing to the ceiling. Does it still move on its own. If it does then you should consider get a replace or... if you want to go through the trouble you can try the tape trick. I say just rma it and get yourself a working one.
