How much power do I need?

Thread Starter
Is 400w enough? I'm changing my PSU and giving it to a friend.

Intel i5-4670K
MSI Z87-G41 ASUS
ASUS GTX 660
Corsair 8GB
Windows 7
Logitech K740
Logitech M705
ASUS Xonar DGS
2 Case fans
1 SSD
4, 3TB 5400 WD HDDs

Is a SeaSonic SS-400FL2 Active PFC F3 400W 80 PLUS Platinum enough?

No overclocking. No CPU fan. I'm doing a silent build, hence the low wattage fanless PSU.

it's overkill smile.gif the fan on the PSU will never spin up biggrin.gif oh wait tongue.gif

no seriously. it's overkill smile.gif the 4670k is a 84watt chip and the gtx660 is a 150watt card. you will never draw more then 300w from that system.

for a silent build, i would recommend you look into the powercolor 7850 fanless if you want to game on the system too.
