4670K Worth It?

Thread Starter
Hi
Is it worth it to get a 4670K instead of a 3570K?
The thing is, I already have a motherboard for the 3570K so I need to get a new mobo but will the hassle be worth it?
I use the rig mainly for gaming.

Agree completely. No need to change platforms for the small performance increase.

If have have an 1155 board already, get the 3570K, not worth it to get a new board and processor for Haswell. If you are coming out of something else, like your sig rig, just go Haswell. You can find some pretty sweet combos on boards and cpus around the internet.

If you were building a new rig i would say get the 4670k being its the new hardware, but you are just gaming so an i5 3570k will be just fine, infact if you can afford it why not try a 3770k only because i think games will be more multi-threaded in the future.....The 3570k will be just fine for you,and just overclock that badboy....

Okay, thanks everyone, I'll keep the mobo and get a 3570K.
I guess it's not worth the "Haswell" wink.gif

Its not worth the investment on a board since you already have one (1155) though if you could get the 3770K you would be set for long time and they seem to Overclock more compared to the 3570K.
