The Best Liquid Cooling Setup - Page 4

if money is no object, u can get a really good setup

i say fluid xp+ extreme for coolant

for the waterblock, silver is the best conductant, and fstfrddy makes the best blocks, so i could pay like 300$ for a silver stinger

For the pump
Danger Den D5 pump -or- Swiftech MCP655, they are the exact same thing, just look for the better price

For Radiator
id say DD GTX 240

u can look around, but 7/16 or 1/2in tubing is best, and get a bay reservoir or a t-line, i like reservoirs better, but thats personal preference

Edit: that reserator acutally looks nice tho instead of the rad and pump i showed

Money isn't the problem. Are there any other silent radiators that can compete with the Zalman performance? Let's say, $500 for a budget.

id say, use the reserator, get fluid xp+, a Stinger waterblock from Fstfrddy, and 7/16" tubing, AS5, then ud have a kick butt WC

Edit: standard stinger blocks are aroudn - 75$, V6 is like 140$, but u could ask if he could make a silver one, but might run u a bit of money

well you can put it where every you would like but yeah most people mount it to the side of the case. The nice thing is you can use as many of those alpha cool passive tubes as you want. Its custom in a sence.

For $300 none can come close to the Zalman's 1,274m2 of dissipation area. Dishing out $250 for a radiator then drilling holes in my beatuiful case... don't think so. Thank you DigitrevX, you've helped me so much today, I'm installing Windows right now, hoping to see a nice drop in CPU temps, was 27C idle before!

I can tell you about these so called non conductive liquids "BS" it maybe when you pour it in the system but with in minutes its conductive , i've now tryed both fluid xp and pc ice and it is very conductive i know cause i have fried stuff with jsut a few drips on a video card and it was only 1 day after pouring my 4 bottles of pc ice into the computer at 20 bucks a bottle its not worth it i am going to chainge mine out to dist water and anti-freeze prolly this weekend .

And good luck on the big Temp drops i realy dont see it happening with a Zalman i think its more for vanity than for performance...
