First OC, Questions regarding temps.

As the title states, this is my first OC and I'd like to get ideas and/or concerns on how I'm doing with my temps. I've been running Prime95 on custom settings for about 2 hours now and hasn't BSOD'd as of yet. All the necessary specs should be found in the screen shot!

Do you think I can manage 4.4 or 4.5 without hitting or going over 1.3? My only concern is heat as I've no aftermarket cooler. I will be looking into one soon though! Thank you for your time ^^

I wouldn't bother trying to overclock until you get your aftermarket cooler. But besides that, everything looks good!! :-)

+1 to this I wouldn't overclock further with the intel stock cooler until you get a better cooler. As for the voltage every batch is different so you will probably have to test that for yourself.

I tried the stock heatsink that comes with the 4770k out of curiosity of its performance before i put my chip under water. What a freaking nightmare lol. Get your build properly cooled first then overclock it thumb.gif

Thanks for the replies guys! Yes, I thought as much in regards to HSF so I decided to put in my H60 from my old machine into my new rig til I can find a better solution. Anyways, I've ran some new numbers.

Trying for 4.4@1.28v. Prior to running Prime95, I ran MCI Memtest, testing a total of 13250 MB (that's how much was free at the time) and passed 100% with 0 errors.

Then I ran Prime95 on Custom Blend, changing Time to run each FFT to 5 instead of 15. And I encounter 2 types of problems. The first one is P95 will crash. I looked at the Worker threads when it did and it always happens at 512k FFTs, not sure if this is significant or not.

The second error I have is a BOSD - Page fault in Non-paged area. I'm not sure about the second error but read that the first error might have to deal with faulty RAM. So I ran IBT this time at Max for 20 runs and on run 4 it BOSD, I did not catch the name but Even window said it was Error 1033.

So now I'm in a bit of a predicament. These issues seem to be pointing towards RAM but I have never overclocked RAM whatsoever. I have 4x4GB Crucial RAM at stock settings 1333 Mhz, 1.5v, with timings of 11-11-11-28-2. Any ideas on what could be going wrong and what I can start changing to find a solution?
