Is my HDD ruined?

Well, I was testing out some OC settings and my PC loaded onto startup repair, of course this is not what I needed so I rebooted my pc from there and booted like normal and my PC booted with a error saying;
BSOD: The session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000003a (0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I then reset my settings back to default in to BIOS and rebooted again, this time just after the Bios loads my PC shuts back down, I then tried running my windows 7 installation disk, the same thing happens. The Bios works fine but beyond that the PC just shuts down, help please!

I'd also like to note that these last few days I've been hearing noises almost like my fan is scratching up against the case for a about 2 seconds and then again about ten minutes later.

That would not be the HDD... if anything a motherboard problem with it rebooting. Just remove all cables and plug everything back in and see if that fixes it

I'll try that now, so it's possible that my motherboard has just died then?

EDIT;
This time it booted but immediately returned a blue screen shortly after saying;

The session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly.

EDIT AGAIN;
This time I have booted my PC up in start up repair mode and I am letting it do it's job.

EDIT FOR THE LAST TIME;
Alright, looks like everything is working again, taking out all the cables/cards/everything and putting it back worked thanks! thumb.gif
