Complex EVGA HydroCopper GTX 780 SLI and AMD W8000 FirePro card PCIe arrangment on a ASUS Rampage IV Extreme - Page 2

There is no SLI bridge long enough available on the market to use slots 1 & 6. The "longest" I know of is the ASRock "2s2s" 3-way SLI bridge, but unsure if it would work with SLI only..?

Edit: AFAIK at least I don't know of such bridge myself that's long enough smile.gif The D5400XS motherboard's bridge would be the only one but then they noticed it was actually out of specification and was discontinued.

The ASUS 120mm SLI wired down to another ASUS SLI flexi-bridge should work from what I have seen. The RIVE is 12" x 10.7 and I am good with soldering. Unless you have a Rampage IV Extreme and could measure out the distance from slot 1 and 6, that would be helpful.

I have seen a guy do this in another build.

I can possible measure those distances from slot 1 and 6 for you, I may have them later today it just depends if my friend wants my 3930k or my 3820. I'll have to take the loop down and clean everything and once that happens ill let you know about the slot distances.

But man that is quite literally the longest SLI bridge I have ever seen!!

Haha I know right! Yea, that isn't mine but a picture I grabbed from another build. Mine will be similar.

I wish AMD would come up with something similar. I like to separate my cards by quite a distance so they don't starve.

...there are also 'custom' SLI bridges that are a bit longer...the LN2 folks tend to use them to get around pots and such...I traded for one, made by MSI ('MSI Multi-GPU SLI Video Card Link' w/ '14120' printed on it) and it served me well when running Quad SLI GTX 670s to connect 1st to last slot on a Rampage IV Ex...smile.gif
