alt-shift is broken

Shift seems to work fine; I can use it to type in capital letters and all keyboard shortcuts with shift (but no alt) seem to work fine. Alt appears to be working too; I can at least alt-tab all day long. However, alt-shift doesn't work at all - shortcuts with alt+shift don't seem to register the shift at all, and trying to enter any alt+shift combo for a shortcuts in KDE system settings gives me "The key you just pressed is not supported by Qt." error. Tried both xmonad and openbox to see if it's a KDE problem, but nothing changed.

The keyboards are fine; I normally have the disc in a laptop but I chucked it into a desktop machine and the behaviour persists.

Any ideas?

EDIT: DIstro is up-to-date Fedora 19, 32-bit.

Fixed. My xorg config had alt_shift_toggle enabled; removed the file altogether and all is good now.

Yet another case of struggle for days with a problem, solution presents itself within an hour of making a forum post...
