I just got a new NAS, Seagate Black Armor 4-Bay, and currently have two 4TB drives in it. My Plan was to put movies on it so i can access them from anywhere in the house, but I have yet to be able to put the movies on it, let alone watch the. When I try to copy a movie on to it, The max speed it gets to is 1MB/s. I have resorted to removing the drive from my computer that has the movies on it, putting it in a USB3 compatablie external enclopsure, and plugging it directly into my NAS's USB3 port. Even that says its going to take over 400 Hours to gopy the 1TB of data im trying to copy. I cant believe that anything nowadays is that slow...

I cant find specs on the speed of the Ethernet ports on the NAS, But I know the speed of the port on my computer is 10/100/1000Mbps. I am running it through an ethernet hub which is about 15 years old, so this is the only thing I can think of thats limiting it. But even then I cant imagine why even the direct USB3 is taking so long.

Any Ideas?
