I'm no expert, but I have experienced similiar issues with laptops to find the faulty equipment to be either the RAM, or the hard drive. Don't go and buy anything, try swapping parts from your boys rig into yours to troubleshoot the problem. Nothing worse than spending more $ to find that the problem wasn't even remotely close to what you thought it was. Best of luck man! biggrin.gif

Dang, well that makes it a bit harder especially if you have nobody to swap parts in and out to diagnose the problem. Well I guess the best thing to do is buy from a place with a good return policy, microcenter biggrin.gif, and return parts that didn't fix the issue. Nothing wrong with that thumb.gif

are you sure its not your monitor some monitors have issues detecting pc's over dvi also make sure the six pinn power is pluged in corrently into the 260 and that the 260 is seated properly also could be a ram issue try moving/removing ram
