What IS up with my parents pc?

Thread Starter
Well, to see if my hard drive had fried I plugged in my sata hard drive in theyre (pre built) computer. Couldn't access it so unplugged it and everything was great (I put it in whilst windows was running (hot swappable sata drives)). So, I go to restart their pc and then I get an error: "disk boot falliure insert system disk and press enter". So I thought, this is odd, and tried again. Same error. So I unplugged all their sata hard drives (they have 2x200gb seagate ones) and plugged them back in again. This time bios realised that one of them was their and the other wasnt and I got the same error again. So I tried a different sata combination plugging in thing and then the other one worked and that one didn't. After many tries and combinations bios picked up both hard drives but I got the same error.

I then tried another combination, it picked up both hdd's and worked, booted too windows. Brother uses computer for a while and all is fine, then he shut down, had food, then went to turn it back on and guess what? "disk boot falliure insert system disk and press enter".

What is up with it?
