I just don't want to drop $160 on a keyboard (since WASD is the ONLY WAY to get Clears) when I could, and for less money at that, crossfire, start an Eyefinity setup, or start a RAID array. Reds are common though and apparently make you a better typist since all of your mistakes show up.

Yes I have used clears, blues, blacks, reds, browns, ergo clear, buckling springs, alps black, and various rubber domes and scissor switches. I've also used some ancient switch that is no longer in production that I was never able to find the name of, really liked it, but that's kind of irrelevant.

Pretty much what I HAVEN'T used are whites, greens, light greys, topres, non-black alps, alps clones, mx clones, cherry MLs, and cherry mx hybrids other than ergo clears.

JH blues are basically ergo clears, except have a hair pin trigger. I'm modded one of my switches on my blue board to be one, not sure if i wanna take the time to do the whole board though.

That just seem so silly. Guess theres no point in getting WASD caps any more. Not like they're super cheap or anything, and they're just normal thin ABS material. *shrug*

As for "ergo clear with a hair pin trigger", you kind of just described a stock brown tongue.gif

not really, it upps the actuation point, and the tactil-ness of blues is much more profound than browns. if anything, they are more in the range of stock clears ( since modding the blue compresses the spring a bit which increases the force required to trip the switch )

You can get clears on a Ducky Shine 2 and Deck keyboards. WASD isn't the only way to get clears.
My dad's got a WASD keyboard and when I tried it I hated the angle of the keyboard, I like the Ducky and Filcos' because they are lower to the ground and the keys down ramp upwards as much. rolleyes.gif

Same thing, I didn't like the V1's becasue they seemed really tall, but the V2's are supposed to be a bit lower to the desk.

I'd be more interested if I hadn't gotten a new Shine 2 a few months ago, but that makes them more appealing to me because that was really the only reason I didn't like the V1's.
Good news then biggrin.gif

That's wonderful that I can buy my own V-2 now, but what do U.S. regulations on weapons of mass destruction say about private ownership of missiles? biggrin.gif

Well... You can always keep it a secret and not show your secret missile silo to anyone. wink.gif

You can buy an abandoned missile silo for a few hundred grand and just live there. I'm not saying it would be fun to be a supervillain, but...

You are correct. But Duckies just seem difficult to get and they're about the same price as WASD anyway. I'll spend a bit extra for simplicity. Couldn't find anything on Decks though. Right now I've got a 104-key Rosewill MX Blue in the mail, and I could've gotten two for less than the price of a single Clear keyboard.
