Yea the seller didn't reply to me nor PayPal until the day before the dispute would have defaulted to me, and they sided with him. This was after I opened the dispute the day it was received which I had to do by phone because I naively sent via gift to help him with "fees".
To remove any question about where the damage incurred and whether he knew or not. I received it (very shoddily packaged I might add) with the cpu in the socket.
I tried to contact gigabyte but it was 1 month outside of the 3 years so they wouldn't RMA. I had to call of course after my RMA request online was just left open with no reply for over a month.
Then I offered to pay for a repair which was again denied due to "parts availability" huh?!
I'm simply trying to recoup as much of my 150 as possible.
As for the seller "Eibes" one of the moderators on hardforum has watched for him and tried to contact him since he found out and he has yet to show.
Finally - I did try it if course. I had waited so long and was so excited to receive this that I held on to a small bit of hope. 'twas not to be though. I can't remember what it did code wise if anything at all but it didn't post, even barebones.
If anyone is a available to help, I will compensate you and be oh so thankful. If you don't have a 1366 cpu I can even send one with for testing purposes or whatnot.
