Does anyone repair motherboards? (Socket/Pin dmg) - Page 4

Yea it's about 10 -20 pins absolute max. Some worse than others. I could try it myself but I don't have the most steady hands and I'd like to leave it up to someone who's done it before and is tech savvy beyond the hands off stuff tongue.gif for lack of a better word/phrase.

I sure learned my lesson - I tried buying a 780 off hardforum just a day or so ago and the guy would only accept gift. I told him good luck with that and he should put it in his post to save everyone time.

Artikbot - I'm sure you were just being polite which is great in itself, but if you were serious about the repair - I'd be glad to cover shipping both ways as well as obviously compensate you! Let me know and we will sort out the logistics. It's a real shame but as it site, definitely a learning experience.

I had just got off a very extended vacation from pc'ing due to cancer and my enthusiasm and impatience caused me to rush a purchase and miss anything that would or could have been cause for concern.

Ah well - till next time, thanks for the feedback, this is easily the best forum out there. (Besides the paaaaain of getting rep to use the market lol!)
