Doesnt mean he has to use it all. Maybe some extra can go into a new screen or a better mouse/keyboard or something. Or hey, maybe an SSD. near instant boot times and rediculously fast loading of Internet browsers or whatever is on it are an upgrade everyone can notice within seconds

yeah hd 7730/7750/7770 would be best option i mean minecraft does need a pretty hefty gpu so i wouldn't go any lower then a 7730 and a 450w is overkill for that setup so yeah 450w is good and yeah the NZXT H230 are good smile.gif

the HD 7750 is about the lowest id go just for future games and if your bro gets into mods or something. But since the 7770 is the same price, a little more power shouldnt hurt. Glad you liked the case, i figured your mom wouldnt like the super hyped up gaming rig looks of the other one xD

also there is a plugin called optifine for minecraft that improves performance i would recommend that to your bro specifically optifine multicore edition which renders minecraft with multi cores instead of the default single treaded just a tip lol smile.gif

Thread Starter
Okay so far I have decided I want to get a 7770, only $129 where I am and thinking about getting the nzxt 230 as my case, looks pretty sleek and room to expand when they want to if they do.
Ssd would be nice but I don't think ill be able to squeeze it in after the psu as well. I think a 450-500w should be more than enough for the single gpu and i3.
Open to more suggestions though. Out ATM so can't research much but keen to hear everyone's input and see what I can get when I get home.
Basically case, gpu and psu just need to come to $400 preferably less though

yeah should be fine for the 7770 with a 450-500. If you can find a superflower they are optimum. The seasonic G series isnt too bad though I am sure youd be happy there aswell. Seasonic is a great brand as you can see I use it biggrin.gif
