Questions on Aquaero 5 set up

Can I use the 2x 2 pin PWM – 12V, 1A modulated at 15 kHz out puts to control PMW fans if I am using a power splitter? I know I would not have RPM but that is ok?

Has anyone tried this??

Those connectors don't actually send PWM signals; they use PWM circuitry for actual device control, and Shoggy does NOT recommend using them for fans.

Thanks for this Chimp. I thought I had read this but I could not find it. Guess I needed to look harder!

These PWM channels use a pulsed 12V signal, so it is not that kind of PWM signal that a fan uses to control its speed. If you would connect such a channel to the PWM wire of a fan it will damage the fan and very likely also the aquaero. Connecting only the power of a PWM fan to these channels is possible but since their speed will be adjusted by the impulse rate it is possible that the fans will generate a humming noise - that is the reason why I can not recommend to use it with fans but of course you can just give it a try. If there is a noise or not depends on the fan.
