so many times you read 'flow is your friend' - both in terms of preventing corrosion as well as minimizing stress of start-stop to the pump. is there any feeling as to a cutoff for water-cooling based on duty cycle? in other words, if a system is being shut off every night and turned on in the morning, is that a contra-indication to a watercooler? will it lead to premature pump failure or corrosion? is such a system better air-cooled?

if a system will be turned on once every week for 2 days, is that also one that is better air-cooled?

is a 24/7 server a better candidate for water cooling?
