password generator - Page 2

Make a catchy sentence. Then put it in leet speak (omitting certain consonants) to prevent dictionary attacks and add symbols if symbols are allowed.

"remove blades from fans guide"
option 1 = R3m0v38l@d35Fr0MF@n59u1d3
option 2 = r3M0V38l@D35Fr0MF@n59UId3
option 3 = r3M0V38l@D3$Fr0MF@n$9UId3

Different people use different character substitutions , which makes it more secure

Like

Potato?Window?Siren

or mix up the caps

potato>German>salad

Lets face it the 3 word system even in its basic from is more effective the 99% (<-- not an confirmed fact wink.gif) of the passwords used by people.

Certainly better then asdf123 tongue.gif
Still absolutely weaker than 18 random characters and using a password manager.

Not really. All password crackers have leet substitution as an option.

Simple rule to follow when creating a password. If it's easy to remember, make another one. But for the love.... don't write it down anywhere. Use a password manager or something.
