Help with overclock!

Thread Starter
Can I over clock my cpu to 4.0 safely? Whats the highest I can overclock without frying or any damage. Thanks http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1sZG9

I highly recommend you spend a little more money on a better cooler in order to overclock that i7 processor, Also the power supply is a little iffy quality-wise for the cost. Almost the same here for about 50 bucks more:

Thats even with a better GPU aswell. You wouldn't be dissappointed.

Or even better for a couple dollars more its the same color as the case:

I am not familiar with the case though, Would want to verify each of those coolers would fit. Would HIGHLY recommend if sticking with air upgrading to one of those. The phanteks is nicer + prettier (and comes in more colors) but noctua is smaller so it may fit better.

POST THOUGHT:

If you already have all those parts (you could have used rig builder at the top and added to your sig like mine) then you would probably get close to 4.0ghz but if you havent bought the PC yet there are far better choices then the 212 that are worth saving for (as you can see in my build i went with 212 for a high powered amd processor and was not impressed, stock cooler worked almost just as good was just too loud).
