AMD FX-9370 Build - Page 13

That's at 5.197. It is an incredibly low voltage when you consider that on stock clocks it sits at 1.5v.

Mine never seems to go very high, I think i just got lucky in the silicon lottery. I will get a screengrab when I go home to confirm my settings.

I have been deceived!

Basically the msi control panel that monitors everything is telling me 1.189 but I used cpu-z because it doesn't seem right & in reality I'm using 1.54v.

So yeah, that clears that up.

Sorry for any deception.

I did just post this http://www.3dmark.com/fs/1921860 to track the volts though, so that's nice smile.gif
Card is clocked to 1200-1350.

I think you misread the cpu voltage as being the cpu/nb voltage, the values are very similar to the one you quoted.

Nice rig btw, I really like my GD-80 smile.gif

what settings are you using for that speed? cant get minestable over 236x20.5(4838) @1.56 even at 1.55v my last two cores fail.

i can boot at 5.1 and run some tests then it will lock up on me even at 1.58v+. trying to get to 5 ghz or close to it

You should PM Cssorkinman, he can help you a lot with your chip. Honestly I have a 8350 at 4.84Ghz with 1.48V at load. I have no LLC so I set to 1.55V to account for Vdroop. A lot of other things like the IMC and other related parts can cause instability. Seems that Voltage is a bit higher than what I would expect your chip to need.

Running at 1.54v, 23x multiplier at 226mhz. Anything over 5.217 & my cpu locks up.

Makes me want to buy one... but $199 plus $100 motherboard and $100 for a water cooler... I might as well just buy an i7.

And the 955 lives on.
