could have read the overview page and it tells you.

LONG-TERM RELIABILITY

These drives are designed to last in high temperature always-on streaming digital audio/video environments such as PVR/DVR, DVR recorders and surveillance video recorders.

since you are looking for a "gaming" drive, don't get the one you linked. it has the intelliseek feature which means the platter speed could be anywhere from 5400 rpm to 7200 rpm. lower speed means longer loading times. maybe look at this one; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236339 same capacity, size and cache. always 7200 rpm drive and lower price too.

Probably the fastest 1TB drive you can buy. Single platter so it's fast http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Barracuda-3-5-Inch-Internal-ST1000DM003/dp/B005T3GRNW

Are these Hybrid drives any good? I remember them being announced a long while ago but never really looked into them after that.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=hybrid+drive&N=-1&isNodeId=1

Ideally you'd want an SSD for performance and a second drive for storage.

Depending on how many games you're looking into putting on there, I would consider an SSD. http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/100826/newegg-250gb-samsung-840-evo-2.5-sata-iii-tlc-internal-solid-state-drive-ssd if that deal is still running a 250gb SSD for 165 isn't bad.
