I don't know how you shop at Sim Lim as every time I walk in there the shopkeepers are trying to rip me off. Any advice on reputable stores there? I travel through Singapore time to time. :-)

Cheers

I dont really shop there. I just head to the store I always patronized and get my stuff.

For WC items, I will either just import in from the States or from merchant directly.

I am looking at the SM8 case, with no pedestals or anything at least right now.

I was thinking of placing a 480mm in the top and a 240mm in the bottom, in front of the PSU, and that will be almost maximum radiator capacity. The maximum would be a 480mm in the top, and a 360mm in front, on the flex-bay radiator mount, but that would be a little impending on space. I have to place the pump somewhere, and i don't know if i can fit the hdd-cages anywhere.

I don't have many hdd's right now either, just 2 big ones, 3.5 inch. But i don't know in the future what i will add, and i don't know for sure if i will use only 2SSD + 2HDD so that i can place them in the bac of the case, in that hdd area. And i'm not very satisfied with the fact that the hdd's will be hanging on the side like that. I'm ordering the 2 hddcages, mostly as a precaution, and thinking about the future. And because of the fact that if i order them later after the case, i might pay a lot for shipping them separately, i live far away from the US, and i want to have an almost complete case from the start. I think i won't be using them at all at first, so that there is much space in the case. but i don't know what i will need in the future, i might end up not using them after all, but that wouldn't be such a big deal, i'm left with 2 cages surplus.

The HDD-cages can be added to the back of the 360mm flex-bay radiator mount with screws, while also using the 3 120mm fans in the bay to cool the hard drives ?

Good choice on getting the 780Ti's instead of the 290x's i think it's the better choice.

Also, one thing i didn't get about this build, didn't look very closely. You will be leaving your first build intact, or will you be using parts from your first build, in this build ?

Looking forward to photos with the initial hardware in the case.

I actually have the two cages to let go. Where do u reside? If you are keen, I could sell them to you at a lower price. Both unused.

Images shown below are from my current build, but now I had tore them apart as preparing for migration to the new casing.

I be reusing more of the parts except for the GPUs which changed from 680 SLI to current 780TI SLI. I had also added 2 sets of Aquaero 5s and also 5 pc of Poweradjusts.

Can you share the name of the store where you get your parts? Some like fuwell seems shady with RMAs
I also import my WC parts.

Actually for all shops work the same. 7 Days one to one after which you will need to look for distro. I normally head to PC Themes, Cybermind and Mynext to get my stuff. Do note that if tthe product is faulty, and if the shops have no stock. They cant RMA for you also.

For me I chose the best distro, I had no issues with corbell and convergent. So my gear normally will get from these two distros.

I live in Romania, Eastern Europe. I am keen, but i don't think it will benefit to any of us, as oposed if i get the 2hdd-cages and have them delivered together with the case.

Your "plumbing" looks very good, very clean.

Updates:

Instead of adding my dual DDC as backup pumps or creating a second loop. I decided to just purchase another D5 pump to create a triple D5 pumps in series. Reason of adding the additional pump is due to the increase of angle rotaries and blocks in the built comparing to my current Project Rampage build which I am using now.

Stuffs that I be purchasing are

- D5 Pump
- Bitspower D5 Mod Kit (Matt Black)
- Bitspower D5 Pump Top V2 (Clear Plexi)
- Bitspower Ball Valve with Silver Handle (Silver Shiny)
- Bitspower Clear Plexi Universal Galaxy Top (Ram Block Top) X 2

My current ram block's plexi just cracked due to my carelessness. I had screwed in too tight and caused the plexi to crack slightly. Does not leak for now, but to be safe I ordered replacement parts for it. As my Bitspower ram blocks are older design (clear flexi), the newer batch are frosted. So I had to ordered a pair to change both of the top.

As I be getting Aqua Computer's Kyrographics Acrylic Glass for both of my 780Ti. I will need backplates for them as well. But there are issues with the AQC 780TI backplates being too tight. After installing the backplate, RIVE users wont be able to mount the GPU onto the 1st PCI E slot as the I/O panel will be blocked.

Does anyone knows if EK backplate could be use with AQC blocks?

Thanks, no problem. Just offering the deal since you need the HDD cages. Might just keep them for future builds.

Yes, for your next CaseLabs case. A TH10 maybe.

For me to say it would be a good deal, i would have to pay 50$ including shipping, and i don't want to offend you by making you a too low dealr, when the shipping alone, haven't checked it personally, can be the 50$, maybe a lot more.

Updates:

Last week I bought 2 pieces of 780TI GTX, one is Zotac and the other was Gigabyte.

Due to worry that might have compatibility issues (yes I know they are all reference), so I called up the shop and request to change my Zotac to Gigabyte. Wish granted and the Zotac was exchanged which now both my 780Ti are Gigabyte.

After I purchased both of them, the thought of doing Tri SLI is strong. So I called up the distro and asked if they could help me arrange to see if there are anymore stock for the gigabyte 780TI reference card. As the new stock came in which are the Gigabyte 780TI windforce, the reference version will soon be history.

Glad that the distro managed to secure one last piece for me and today went down to make my purchase.

I had also ordered additional set of Aquacomputer Kyrographics Nickel Acrylic Glass 780TI with backplate for this newly acquired 780TI. Can't wait for the blocks and backplates to arrive.
