As you can see a watercooling company cant even make things watertight things are so rushed out the door nothing gets checked.

you can see the system wasn't even full and running and the links were leaking like a sieve i hate to wonder what it would have been like full and running... maybe a waterfall effect.

Not only do the blocks not really fit the cards the active backplates leak if it was only one i might have said ok.. its just a bad egg but for both to leak its clearly just a bad design... One O-ring which is too small isn't going to do much to hold back water.

So if you are thinking about getting these i would just use the standard links and put the little silver plate on the backplate

I believe you mounted them incorrectly. I used them on my last system and they do not leak.

You may have. I have seen people mount them upside down in the past. I know that mine never leaked.

There was another thread (not here) with exactly the same leak. What do you mean by "blocks not really fit the cards" ? I was about to buy the same block for my 780.

Well, Imo and the supplier i bought the blocks from the voltage regulators get pushed a little too hard and it makes the board hump up, you can get over this by using different heatpads... the ones which come with the block are very hard. I had to find out the hard way and nearly killed my card as the board was being pushed so hard the PCB nearly touched the backplate this was using the pads which came with the block.

To be honest if you drop the blocks on dry then look above the voltage regs you can judge the gap but i would get different 0.5mm heatpads which are softer.

The blocks look great i have to say don't let me put you off getting them! i think they are the best looking blocks out at the moment but auqacomputer could take the feedback onboard and sort out the stand offs.

Btw could you link where else these backplate links leaked?

Thank you very much for the info. The thread is here post 91 & 92 as far as I can see the backplate also don't fit well.

Sorry for the late reply. I was on holiday for two weeks.

I am sorry to see that the terminal leaks. If you want you can try the following: remove the card from the system and pull out the heatpipe from the black connection terminal. It is only plugged into the terminal and sealed with an o-ring. Remove the o-ring and check the groove for it in the terminal. It is likely that there might a small flake from the drilling process which causes the leak. If so you can remove it with a tweezers or just use something small that fits into the groove and move it one time around to remove any flakes.

Make also sure that the heatpipe goes straight into the terminal and there is not too much pressure into one direction; if that is the case you can slightly bend the heatpipe into the correct direction.

If that does not help or you do not want to give it a try, please let me know and we will send you a new terminal + heatpipe.
