Mr Haswell is a little too HOT!!! (Advice on a which new AIO Liquid Cooler to buy please)

Hi there All. Can anyone who knows their AIO Liquid Coolers offer advice on what to replace my old Cooler Master V8 Air Cooler with please? I have a Cooler Master HAF X case and the rest of the specs are on my rig build, I have been reading up on the AIO Liquid Coolers and have a current short list:

Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige
Cooler Master Seidon 240m
Corsair H110
Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme
Don't know much about Swifttech products but like the look of the H20-X20/Hd Edge/Ultima Stuff

I don't mind paying a bit (within reason) for a really good cooler but I'm kinda lost as to which one will do the best job? The only thing I'm decided on is that I want a large, dual fan radiator so as to get the best results. The reviews are fine and all but none of them seem to compare ALL of the coolers I'm considering. I am also completely open to new ideas and any suggestions you may have, I just hope to overclock my new cpu to the limits!

Thanks for reading and any help will be HUGELY appreciated.

Of the non-Swiftech AIO's the Eisberg 240XL is the best by quite a difference as it's basically, just like the Swiftechs, a custom kit.

The H220 is on par with it, the H320 is better (I got it myself now) and the EDGE models are much better again but you have to assemble those yourself AFAIK. The regular H220/H320 is amazing for the money and so is the Eisberg.

If ya want a little cheaper, the Corsair H100i is the king of ~ €100 AIO's.

King? Perhaps in terms of noise capabilities..... The Silverstone TD02 has slightly better performance and doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner. The H100i is intolerable whenever there is heavy CPU load. But...you may as well save some case and go with a Noctua NH-U14S or 12S, get similar performance, very low noise, easier install and better reliability.

If you are looking at the H110, the NZXT Kraken has better out of the box performance due to much better fan matching.

Neither is a match for the Swiftechs. I haven't had the chance to use the Esisberg, but have heard great things.

If you have room, take a look at the XSPC Raystorm 750 kits. The EX240 performs on par with the H220 and is incredibly quiet.

The H100i is notably cheaper here in my region plus the SIlverstone isn't avaliable here so i'm sorry.

I would recommend a Swiftech H220 or H320, if you can fit the latter (H220 is a 240 rad and the 320 is a 360 rad). Both will give better performance and less noise than any of the Asetek/Cool-It based AIOS (Corsair, NZXT, Thermaltake, Silverstone, etc). The Cooler Master Eisberg is a good unit on par with the H220, but I prefer the aesthetics of the Swiftech unit.

delid it if your planning on doing a decent voltage overclock, otherwise regardless of which cooler you buy your temps will eb high op after like 1.25v.

Sometimes local stores will have sales on H100s, i grabbed a h100 for $30 from my local best buy when they had a sale, threw it in an old rig and got an extra 300mhz out of it smile.gif

however if money isnt an issue,i would have to say the swiftech

And we have no Eisberg availability here in the US, and now the Swiftechs were pulled from the shelves....

But, damn...you are in Holland. Go Phanteks! wink.gif

Swiftech was only pulled the H220/H320 from the US market until the Asetek patent claims issues are dropped, which will happen once CM and Cool-It win in their defence against Asetek's patent claims, since they And Swiftech all were all victims of Asetek's patent trolling. Swiftech pulled from the US instead of fighting it because they recently moved to a larger facility and currently have trouble keeping up with global demands anyway, so this gives them room to breathe. In the meantime, US citizens that want an H220/320 can purchase them from NCIX Canada and have them shipped in.

That's plenty for me to go-on, I was kinda narrowing my choice down to either the Eisberg 240xl or one of the Swiftechs. Unfortunately here in Dublin I am very limited with retail stores that will sell the products I'm interested in (there is actually nowhere that will stock any of these), so I won't have the advantage of going and looking at them first; I'm gonna have to pick the right one first time! I have the HAF X case and I'm hoping I can fit the Swiftech 320 in there (up top), failing that I'd give the 240 a go. Would you all reckon that the Eisberg and Swiftechs are pretty even then? I mean if someone placed an Eisberg 240XL, and a Swiftech 220 and 320 on a table and you were told you could choose just one, which would you take?
