Hello,

I have built many water cooled machines over the years, but never done a Build Log....So here goes my first......

After spending two weeks reading the various build logs, I am ready to tackle the most challenging build I have done to date! With that said, I am taking my inspiration from Jameswalt1.
His incredible 900D build.....is just that...incredible!!

My budget is large, but not large enough to drop hundreds of $$$ on fittings...

...so I will be heat bending the PrimoChill rigid tubing and using their compression fittings. I will be going with a Black and Orange Theme...just to be different...I have done blue, red, white, black, and green in the past...so I decided to go a different route using the orange Mayhem Pastel....I think it looks very cool!

I plan on taking many cues from Jameswalt1's build, but adding a few twists (literally!) and color of my own! I have been wanting to do an rigid acrylic build for some time now...and had that on my "bucket list". Now it's time to cross this build off my bucket list!! Let's get to it!

I have already tested the main PC components and have got some great results so far...

Now it's time to get it all put together in the 900D

my only suggestion would have been to go to socket 2011 if doing more than 2 gpus, but since you already got the board and cpu, go for it

youll love it.
Good suggestion! I have thought about it. This will be primarily a gaming machine...so I think the 4770k will do great.....besides...Already have a 3970x build for all my "productivity" work!

4960x coming soon....maybe I will change my mind?

Rings lookin good, i was thinking of redoing some of the white ones to orange for a crysis 3 themed build im gonna do after my gigabyte z87-OC force arrives.

great work, when you repainted them did you scuff them up etc etc or just paint over and be done with it?

Got my final shipment today!! Heat gun and oven gloves...I am ready for acrylic tube bending!

I am torn whether to wait for the EK Maximus Extreme VI full coverage block. It is supposed to be out soon. Or just move forward without it. Decisions...Decisions...

Running into a few issues today...

Looks like the Feser X-Changer radiators are too thick which is blocking the top motherboard mount standoffs...The bottom radiator should be fine, but I will either need to mount the top fans on the outside of the case, get a thinner radiator, or leave off the top fans......I am leaning towards a thinner radiator.....Who would have thought that the case needed to be just a hair bigger

Finally had some time since it was Labor Day today...so I labored on this build...Here are some progress pictures from today!

Found a good spot and configuration for the two D5 pumps!

Finished mounting both radiators

Did some testing on how and where I am going to mount the reservoirs. Not sure I like the staggered look, but it could be interesting bending the acrylic tubes around them....(I will be bending the acrylic tubes from the pumps to the rads...These fittings are just to test location and height. My goal is to use ZERO angled fittings...only acrylic bends the the Primochill straight acrylic compression fittings)

And Finally...I installed the EK memory waterblocks to the Vengeance Pro memory..

More to come this week....

Thanks!! The build is coming along slower than I would like. Work and family are taking up most of my time these days...
