I spent a few days debating which headphones I wanted to get. Read a lot of reviews and finally decided on the Skullcandy Slyr. It is supposed to have decent but not overpowering bass with good even sound quality and be overall good for gaming/music/movies. They also have the added benefit of being ps3/xbox 360 compatible so that is an added bonus if you do any console gaming.

I normally wouldn't buy from this brand but supposedly these headphones are the result of Skullcandy buying the Astro company which makes the A40. Which is known for its quality compared to how much you actually pay for them.

I would say the biggest reason i bought these is because they only 59.99 on Newegg.ca and with the August new customer 10$ off rebate code they were 49.99. Total was only 65$ including shipping and taxes so even if they aren't great they are cheap.

No headphone / headset is for everyone. I would suggest you read through this link and find something that sounds good to you. Look up other more detailed reviews about what the overall quality/sound is like and go from there.
