Alrite guys so i talked to some people and researched even more on the subject and im still not 100%. Before i begin il say i am not the most cpu+ram literate, as gpus are my true love ;p. So here it goes. I have an i5 3570 non k (dont say anything i realize im an idiot lol), and my ram is 2 sticks of corsair xms3 at 1600 mhz @ 1.65 volts. (thats the voltage on corsairs website). Here's me dilemma. As you cpu nuts probably know the non k intel cpus are unlocked but very limitedly. I currently have this thing running at 4 ghz totally stable no issues with a corsair h60 as intake on the back of my case in a push config. My temps got to 71 at the highest on hours of prime. but 90% of the time are under 70C.

So from what i have heard you can get the cpu to 4.2, but i believe when all four cores are active it drops the multiplier down to 40 resulting in a 4 ghz oc while stressing or gaming. You can however get this cpu higher through bclk overclocking. I only want 4.2 ghz, really thats all i want just to say i got there on my first rig ;p. Also i dont have any files on my pc that matter, so for me losing windows data and having to reinstall everything is a pain, but not a crisis, but obviously i want to avoid that. I ran my cpu at a 106 bclk which is what i heard is pretty much that max that ALMOST ALL i5 3570s can run at. Most can do 107 or 107.5 but ive heard thats danger. I ran my cpu at 106 for a day, and achieved 4.24 ghz. Under prime for an hour i was totally stable, temps never over 75. i used it for that day with no mishaps, no artifacting or weird stuff in windows. Then i asked on here and people were saying that it is dangerous and im really pushing it. Is it really that that bad? Will it break my hardware? Also would 105 be better? I could probably acheive 4.2 with 105 and defs 105.5 or so. Also one thing i noticed is it makes the ram frequencies you can pick weird numbers which my ocd would not handle without further explanation on how that will affect my rig so i am just running at 4 ghz atm with 1600 freq. My gut says that the weird ram freq is fine and would actually be helping because its running alittle faster, but im not sure. So what do you guys think?
