You will be fine go for it,just curious what wattage/brand PSU do you have....

Even if it does, which I doubt you will see a bottleneck, you should still see a significant performance increase.

should be a very slight ..very very slight bneck compared to 8mb cache instead of 6mb.
It still will be worth it.. browse for the valley benchmark thread here on OCN and
look at the results there with your chip and multi-gpu´s.. GL!

Any consumer cpu will bottleneck 780 SLI at some point, if it will be noticeable is a completely different matter.

Many games will be fine but I can say right away that you will be bottlenecked in Crysis 3, BF3 multiplayer and Borderlands 2. I limit my Borderlands 2 fps to 80 because it feels horrible to drop from 120 to 40-50fps (4-player co-op with lots of explosions). I'm gonna hold off buying second GTX 780 until I have Ivy-E or Haswell-E.

The differences are small.. i guess you want a 3930 / 3960 with 12mb cache.
This would be the only alternative for the OP, but since he got 1155, a 2600k / 3770k
would be enough.

Well of course difference is small if game / benchmark is GPU limited like in those tests, not sure why HARDOCP chose them for CPU performance review. My personal experience says that keeping constant 120fps is very hard. Even with low settings on BF3 my rig has slowdowns because of the CPU. Fps drop from 120 to 60 feels worse than drop from 60 to 30.

You seem to have 60Hz screens. Any experience with 120Hz? There's a big difference.

BF3 and Crysis 3 support 6 cores, 3930K / 4930K is the way to go for those games. I had no idea that 120Hz screen would make gaming this expensive, before with my old 60HZ screen I used to run my old 2500K at stock speed without much problems.
