Monsta 280 or Black Ice Extreme 280?

Trying to decide between these 2 for the bottom mount of Phantom 820. Leaning towards the Black Ice due to the build quality. Hesitant on the Monsta due to the fact that I have gotten a UT45 before but RMA it instantly due to bent fins and something in the water chamber. PPC said that's how most of the Alphacool Rads are NIB so I don't wanna get another one similiar. New to watercooling so was wondering would the restrictiveness of the Black Ice Rad effect anything beside having to run my pump at close to full power? I'm using a MCP35X pump with a Black Ice 360 up top and Raystorm CPU block. Will probably upgrade to 2 GPU block down the road and MCP35X2 if pump power becomes an issue.

Thanks for any help!!

What RPM fans do you plan on using? That can pretty much be the sole detail that will determine which one you'll be using. The GTX has REALLY good performance if it has high RPM fans. It's performance is very close to that of the UT60, which is saying something as it's about half as thick. The problem/advantage is it's 28FPI split fin design. If you can supply proper airflow it performs amazingly, but since it's so much more restrictive you need higher RPM fans to maintain airflow.

Long story short.

1450RPM or lower, get the ALphacool Monsta, 1500RPM or more get the GTX. (Since you're debating between two really restrictive rads, I'm assuming you're going with a push/pull setup.)

The top GTX 360 is using Silverstone FM121 in p/p. The bottom GTX 280 will probably run Bgears Blaster in p/p.
