I have a server which had it's IP changed over the weekend on my LAN. It used to be at .22 but now is at .218, which should be no real issue as the DNS should map it to the new IP, but for some reason when I ping the server name it still shows up as pinging .22.

Now I would think that there is something wrong with the DNS but all the other computers in the room, hooked up to the same network map the name correctly to the new IP address, it seems only my machine doesn't yet I have the DNS specified in the connection settings as the same DNS that everyone else is using.

I am not a network person so I have no idea what is going on.

Edit: Found someone who taught me about the host file as a fix for now. As I don't have any permission to work with/do anything but use the DNS this is fine for me.
