Hey all,

I'm a BF3 live streamer on TwitchTV and recently have come up against some ethugs that have nothing better to do than launch DoS/DDoS attacks. These guys have been harassing all the top streamers in the game. I stream from a seperate connection than I play on so thankfully my stream is not touched but my gaming connection gets slammed. I have done everything I can to stop the attacks. This includes using paid OpenVPN servers from StrongVPN but they are able to take those servers down as well. I'm not sure if they actually take the server down or it just shuts my connection down to save the rest. In the end I have resorted to just changing my IP via mac spoof/modem refresh. I have taken this up with my ISP but these guys are overseas and I'm not sure there is much they can do.

The big issue I have with the situation is where they are obtaining my IP (along with other players/streamers). Using an anti-cheat site like ACI (http://history.anticheatinc.com/bf3/) these guys are able to simply create an account and search for a name. Despite never being banned or even kicked by PunkBuster your most recent IP pops up. By recent I mean within 5 minutes of connecting to a server they can obtain your IP. PBBans is not as bad but cheaters from AA recently had a hacked server admin account that gave them access to anyones IP connected to a PBBans streaming server (almost all of them). When the attacks start I am unable to play until I find a server not streaming to one of these sites. There are very few of them.

I would like to know if I have a legal leg to stand on to stop them from publishing my IP without my permission. I am going to request first but if that fails I am wondering if there is a legal avenue I can take.

Thanks
