Took computer out of storage, Blue LED and beeping

Thread Starter

Hi all,

I've had my computer in storage for a month while moving. Now when I power it on it makes a beep (constant beep, no variations, just like a heart rate monitor) and an unmarked LED flashes. I've checked all the connections, and made sure everything is plugged in correctly.

How can I go about fixing this?

Thanks!

It's the rig in my sig.

Did you re-seat the RAM?

I agree with IEATFISH. SOunds like RAM needing reseated, or going faulty. Time to try one stick at a time, and make sure its plugged in right. Also you can reset the BIOS, it may be the battery on the motherboard is on its way out with sitting in storage.

I've reseated the RAM, tried no RAM, tried RAM in each slot. I thought it would be that but nothing. The moment I plug the power lead, the LED and beep start.

also double check your CPU power, the GPU power, and check the GPU is seated right. It could cause the same issue.
