Did my SSD just die? - Page 2

I'm sure it's dead. I switched the SATA ports between the HDD and SSD to ensure that every port was working and that the power was connected, but no dice. In any case, I couldn't imagine it ever being loose. as I've not moved the PC since building it.

Thanks for the help guys.

Should I RMA this, buy a Samsung 840 PRO or do both?

RMA it first as to cut on cost. Unless you have extra money to blow then upgrade and re-sell the RMA'd drive that they ship to you in return.
Either way works but its your call. If you are not in dire need of a SSD then wait for the RMA.

Fry's has a Samsung 840 pro 120 GB on sale for $89

Have you tried another SATA power connection (the one your other HDD is using, which is known-working)?

Thanks for the link.

Going to RMA it, buy the 840 PRO and re-sell the RMA'd item.

Going to pick it up in store in a few.

Thanks again for the help everyone.
