looking for case fans (anything good between $ - $10 per fan?)

Thread Starter

Upon building my new Rig I purchased a 4 pack of COOLER MASTER R4-S2S-124K-GP 120mm Case Fan 4 in 1 pack for around $13.00 and tho they are pretty good. 2 out of the 4 make odd noises. Its not loud its like a very faint rubbing noise.

Anyways I am in need of new case fans but with a 4 week old + a 6 year old I am currently on a budget for at least 4 new fans. I only have around $5 - $10.00 to spend per fan but im afraid at this price I may not be able to get any real quality fans. What do you guys think?

I would like something that moves a good amount of air and its fairly quiet. I really cant stand alot of noise.

link to the fans I bought

I usually use Nexus fans. They are very quiet for their price and I have used probably 20 of them in builds for customers and never had a complaint about noise or defects.

They are sold on Newegg and Amazon among other places. Usually run about $9-12. Right around what you want to spend.

I usually only know a much about radiator and high static pressure fans, however, the xspc xinruilian 1650rpm radiator fans, which are 7 bucks each, are absolutely fantastic. Push a lot of air, almost silent, high quality sleeved 45cm cable. They are intented for radiators, but im sure they would double as case fans just fine. I havent tried mine in an air cooling rig as i only have watercooled rigs, so no real experience on it though.
