Everyone better make sure their VPN provider is outside the states so when they receive the subpoena they can throw it in the trash.

Not to mention all the bs going on with copyright law firms distributing torrents to catch people.

Except IPs are constantly being swapped by means outside of your control. An IP isn't a person. A IP I use could have been banned from OCN by a previous user of that IP, preventing me from getting on OCN.

It's more like a person who can look like anyone who lives in house X getting banned from some public building. Now house X owner is also banned despite never having been in the wrong.
