7.1 AV Receiver not working with GPU HDMI Out.

Hi Peoples,

I've been going mad for the last 6 to 8 weeks trying to work out why my Sony AV Reciever wont work with HDMI. It used to work fine with the GTX 680s and the old Nvidia Drivers. But now with the GTX Titans nothing.

When I plug the hdmi cable from the GPU into the Sony Receiver my computer recognizes it straight away and the same with the receiver it recognizes the hdmi has been inserted. And I have all the settings selected correct in windows and yet when I do a test I get nothing playing through the speakers. However when I use a Toslink i get sound playing straight away but I dont think toslink works in 7.1 surround. I understand somethings are not 7.1 surround and may only be 2.0 or 2.1 but the test used to play through each speaker fine and then I could use my microphone to set the speaker levels automatically.
What can I do???

thanks.

Sony Muteki 7.2 - HTM7 (Dolby Digital, HD Digital CInema Sound, DTS 96/24, HDMI)

GPU - 3x GTX Titans

Do you have HDMI audio enabled in Nvidia control panel?

Yep but ive given up and disassembled the system and moved it into the bedroom. Lol. My partner spun out when she got home lol. The dog was spun out too lol. We have the gt750e projector mounted on the ceilling and every night we watch a movie or tv episodes before falling asleep. Now I have to negotiate the surround speaker when I need to do a pee in the middle of the night. Lol.

Im look at getting a Cambridge Audio 351r receiver with the cambridge audio minx325 5.1 speakers. Only thing is im getting them cheap because its the 5 speakers are the old min20's instead of the min21's. The 21's are supposed to be a bit fuller sound. But I am getting 1100 off the total price. Hmm
