Perhaps that's true. If you're referencing the general community's feelings toward COD, I think there may be a slight difference between BF and COD in the magnitude of changes to the game between versions, at least historically.

Based on what I've seen, people get sick of COD's yearly releases that consist mainly of re-skins and maybe a few added kill streaks after MW2.

BF4's change list is quite dramatic by comparison.

That said, I'm willing to bet that when BF5 is released, people will start singing the same song they were singing about COD.

Amazingly, still no information about hit detection.

Um, what do you want them to say?

It's most likely the same netcode as behind BF3 and that worked for the majority of folk including me (soooooo much better than BF2 heh)... so i'd expect BF3 hit detection in BF4.

The thing is.. we don't even know if the next Battlefield game will even be BF5. tongue.gif The next Battlefield could very well be Bad Company 3.

I'm assuming they just want to hear that it's server side. They've already confirmed that it's still the hybrid server/client and that they've made tweaks to it. Not really much else to say.

Well, they stated that they've been improving it. But how? I'd like to get some informations about that instead all the "Levolution" news-feed they keep posting @ Battlelog.

Whether it's the hybrid client-side Battlefield 3 uses. Or if it's server-side. We still don't know for sure - that's the problem.

Right, I think if they continue to switch back and forward things might be alright. I think having "new" $60 versions of COD every year was what really irked people.

After BF2 had matured, everyone was absolutely screaming for a sequel. If a company wants to keep a franchise alive for longer, they really should space out releases.

I hope the next release from DICE is a new BFBC! biggrin.gif The step away from the seriousness from most shooters was a welcome change-of-pace.

Welcomed change-ups to the modern war setting. I think we will see a 2143 honestly.

Again watching the new footage am i the only one seeing four man squads? Or am i missing something?

Also can you turn off the russian accented english spotting voiceovers? I'd rather just hear russian. Isn't that something that can be done in BF3?

Should have been singing the same song considering battlefield has a 2 year release cycle just like COD. Then again it is battefield so that must give it a pass.

doh.gif

Call of Duty has a yearly release cycle and will have released similar games for 7 years straight once Ghosts is out. That's 7 games in 7 years with only minor changes to gameplay.. How is that anything like what DICE is doing?

There's definitely 5 man squads. You might just be seeing squads that aren't full.

Not sure about the voice-overs. I did hear they were going to have authentic voice-overs as an option a while ago.
